FitBrains for a Fit Brain

You can play this on your iPhone. Search for Word Power Brain Spark

Can we all agree that without a sharp mind, the 2nd half will fall short of ideal? But how do we fight becoming dull upstairs? Truth is, there are a ton of things we can do. Online gaming targeting brain fitness is one of them, and it’s growing like crazy.

Today we’re looking at one of the most popular online brain gaming sites on the Internet: FitBrains (www.fitbrains.com). The flagship of Vancouver, Canada-based Vivity Labs, FitBrains has over 2 dozen games to choose from. We think FitBrains players of any age will find something they like.  Especially those trying to stay sharp as they age. Like me.

Unlike other sites we visited which had more of a medical assessment or exam-like feel to them, FitBrains offerings truly felt like, well, games. One of our favorites, Word Power Recharged of Reader’s Digest fame, is also available on the iPhone as Word Power : Brain Spark. We also really liked UberBrain, a brain cross-trainer, which hits all 5 brain health areas in 5 minutes. FitBrains keeps track of each player’s progress, and make recommendations on areas for improvement. There’s also a leaderboard with each game, that shows how you stack up against others.

Everybody's doing this.

The bottom line? FitBrains is efficient, fun and provides a huge variety. We were challenged, and had room for improvement in every area. We think you should play. And …
